God Opened the Door...

At the end of 2016 I became homeless, addicted to drugs and severely depressed. Because of this, my two daughters were not in my care. I lacked discipline and motivation to do anything with my life. One day a couple of friends helped me find the Sheepfold. Although I didn’t know what I needed, I knew something had to change. However, God knew. He opened the door so fast for me to be a part of Sheepfold — I didn’t have time to blink.

When I brought myself and daughters to the shelter, I cried. I was so grateful that we not only were blessed with a roof over our heads, but a home. I was also very happy to have my girls back. The House Managers were (and still are) loving, supportive and patient. They have helped me to grow into an independent and stronger woman.

I am now growing closer to the Lord. His grace and mercy has been such a blessing, more than I could have imagined. The daily Bible studies minister to my soul. They have helped me draw closer to and understand what it truly means to have a relationship with Christ. My daughters now have a sense of security and responsibility. Every day they are learning about God and they love church. We are now moving forward as a Godly family towards self-sufficiency. I have a great job, a new church that I love and savings for the future.

My goals are to move to Second Step, save up for a car, continue building a strong relationship with Jesus and to eventually support myself and my family. God knew exactly what I needed and He provided me with that and more.

I thank God for all the opportunities and all the people He has put in my path. Thank you Sheepfold for giving me back my daughters and the focus and determination to be successful in life.
