2020 Challenges Met


We are grateful to enter 2021 after so many changes last year. Twenty-twenty was very challenging for everyone at The Sheepfold, as we needed to make many adjustments and changes due to COVID-19. I’m extremely proud of our Staff who, as essential workers, never wavered in serving the moms and kids in a high-risk environment. As one of our House Managers stated, “We simply trust in the Lord to protect us.”


We never closed our doors, but instead pivoted to create a Quarantine House for incoming residents, remodeled and repurposed a shed and bedrooms into spaces for work and school purposes, and implemented many other changes to make sure safety protocols were a top priority. The core essentials of The Sheepfold, daily Bible study and seeking Jesus, remain unchanged. We continue to seek Jesus for peace in uncertain times.


During the quarantine, we had additional time in the homes to council and love on the moms and kids which we have seen much fruit from – in the last year we have had many salvations and baptisms. We have been so blessed to lead these families to the Lord.


Thank you for standing with us, we look forward to the new year, whatever it might bring, because we stand on the Rock, Jesus who is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

As a Sheepfold House Manager, you’re no stranger to requests, questions or needs from residents and their kids.


“Are there more size 5 diapers?”

“Can you get more milk?”

“What happened to all the Legos?”

“Where is my child’s other shoe?”


But never have I received a request as special as “Will you baptize me?”


I had the privilege to participate in what, for many of us, is one of the most significant moments in our lives as followers of Jesus. This truly was a high honor only made possible with your continued support.

My baptism experience was an amazing one! Being baptized was something I have always wanted to do to get closer to the Lord. Throughout every single one of my abusive relationships, I sinned a lot with the things I did and the things I said.


My baptism was very special because I had just chosen to forgive those who hurt, traumatized and bullied me. During the baptism ceremony I realized that I needed to also forgive myself, not just those who have done me bad. Forgiving them was hard because they did me wrong plus, I have always had a difficult time forgiving people.


I feel that now that I have been baptized, all my strength, loyalty, power, words, love and gratitude has been given to the Lord. I had a conversation with my mom before I was baptized, and I asked her why I was never baptized. She said, “I wanted you and your brother to choose that, I didn’t want to choose that for you.”

Thank you to our generous donor for allowing us to construct spaces to meet the changing needs of our families! Due to Covid-19, many of our moms and kids are distance learning or working remotely in our homes.


Additionally, many appointments such as counseling, doctor check-ups, and even social worker visits are done on Zoom, and we have had to make changes to accommodate this shift. Pictured here is a garden shed at one of homes which has now been repurposed as on office space with our family’s needs in mind.


Your donations provided air conditioning, a new internet hot spot, laptops, and the furnishings to make this happen.
