Kendra's Story...

Wow... the changes that can happen in such a short time (3 months). Where do I begin? I came to the Sheepfold with closed eyes and a hardened heart.

My eyes have been opened by the Sheepfold staff. My House Manager was one of those eye openers. She helped me realize how trapped I was, and how I needed to move forward and stop dwelling on the past. My past had brought me nothing but heartache and pain. Well, that has all changed.

That was past and the Lord is my future, He is all that I need. He will never leave me or forsake me. My dedication to the Lord while at the Sheepfold has also opened my eyes, softened my spirit, and helped me come to the realization that there is a world that I am finally willing to be a part of.

At first, I couldn't understand why we had so many rules. Well, there are rules because it's the structure we longed to have. It not only has helped me but it's the best thing that ever happened to my daughter. The structure is what we needed and is definitely what we got. Our life has so much peace now.

The Sheepfold is a safe shelter for mothers and their children. Though I know that it's a shelter, I have always considered it my house, our home and a safe, clean and loving place to be. If you open your eyes and allow our Savior in Christ to do his work, you will succeed.

I encourage you to never look back, all you need is what's in front of you. Be encouraged and God Bless!

Snow, Snow, Snow!

Can you believe the snow that we are having in Southern California?

Neither can we! So unexpected snow calls for new adventures with our families, and what a wonderful experience it was for our staff and our families!

Our Volunteers

We are always so grateful for all the volunteers that give of their time and energy to help support our staff in serving the mothers and children of the Sheepfold.

Our volunteers' dedication and care for our families does not go unnoticed. It takes many hands to make the load light, and we are appreciative of all the hands that help us on a daily basis.

The Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability

The Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability is the respected organization that audits non-profit corporations on a yearly basis to verify that all donations were recorded properly and were used for the purpose for which they were given, and requires a full financial statement for supervision by The Sheepfold Board of Directors monthly.

Membership in the ECFA is only granted to non-profit corporations who meet their rigid standards. We are proud of our long-standing membership in this organization.
