I was a resident at the Sheepfold several years ago and wanted to share a little bit about my time at the Sheepfold as well as say thank you!

 

Before I interviewed to come into the Sheepfold, I was doing things my way, which wasn't working. My life was unstable. I had moved 8 times in one year and found a “good man” to be boring. At the end of my interview, the woman who interviewed me, Kathy, prayed for me. While she was praying, I was scared, but at the exact moment I remember thinking, “Okay God, I'm yours, I'm leaving myself to you at the cross, I give in, I'm going to do it your way.”

 

I definitely had some challenges during the beginning of the program, but I kept moving forward remembering that I had surrendered to doing this His way! I ended up graduating the program, receiving a donated car, getting a job, and finding an apartment!

 

To everyone at the Sheepfold—I am so blessed to have lived at the Sheepfold. I will never forget you. I think about you, I pray for the staff, volunteers, donors and the women and kids. You changed my life. No words can explain my thanks for bringing me back to my worth. Thank you to my heavenly Father, who never left my side, even when I left His.

• We request NEW items because these are gifts.
• Please bring gifts UNWRAPPED. Gift bags OK. We need to see each gift, therefore, we will need to unwrap any wrapped gifts.
• We will receive gifts starting Monday, November 29th, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. (Gifts are also welcome earlier.)
• All gifts will be received at The Sheepfold office. Call 714-237-1444 or email: mail@thesheepfold.org for directions.
• Gift Drop-off DEADLINE: Wednesday, December 8th (So we have time to sort, wrap and distribute before Christmas.)
• Wrapping supplies, boxes and ribbon are appreciated.

As part of our stewardship accounting we are required to record every new item donated to the Sheepfold. It would be a great help if those who bring gifts would kindly include a list of the items' cost, or a copy of your register receipt.
